Basic Probability

How likely is it?

Probability is a number between 0 (impossible, like it snowing in Mvurwi in October) and 1 (certain, like the sun rising tomorrow).

P(event) = (number of favourable outcomes) ÷ (total possible outcomes)

Example: A bag has 5 red and 3 blue sweets. P(red) = 5/8. P(blue) = 3/8. Notice they add up to 1 - together they cover every possibility.
