Frequency Tables
Organising raw data
Instead of listing every single mark one by one, group and count them - like a shopkeeper tallying how many of each item sold in a day.
Example: Marks out of 10 for 10 learners: 6,7,7,8,6,9,7,8,6,7.
Frequency table:

| 6 | 3 |
| 7 | 4 |
| 8 | 2 |
| 9 | 1 |
Mean from a frequency table = Σ(mark × frequency) ÷ total frequency = (6×3 + 7×4 + 8×2 + 9×1)/10 = 71/10 = 7.1
